What is the Paddle Pub?

It’s a 26 person pedal-powered pontoon boat. Perfect for birthday celebrations, bachelor/bachelorette parties, company outings, sightseeing, themed nights out- the possibilities are endless!

What all is included in the price?

The price includes the rental for the Paddle Pub for the duration of our tour along with a licensed captain, first mate, life vests, fuel, use of the sound system, built in ice chests, and floatation devices for swimming. (Ice is not included)

IMPORTANT REMINDER: An entry fee of $5 per person is required to gain access to the 360 Bridge Boat Ramp per The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Cash only, no cards. Unfortunately this is not included in the price and is a policy instated by the TPWD.

How much does a Paddle Pub cost?

A 2 hour private tour has a flat rate of $575 and a 3 hour tour is $750. Mixer tickets, where you can buy individual seats, are $42.95/person. Make sure you book your tour well in advance, as we are often sold out on popular time-slots up to a month prior!

Can we rent the Paddle Pub for longer than 2 hours?

Most definitely! We currently offer a 3 hour rental as well on our site, but if you’d like to rent it for longer, give us a call!

Is there a bathroom onboard?

No, at this time there is no bathroom. Please plan ahead! 

Where is the pickup location?

All tours begin and end at the Pennybacker Bridge Boat Ramps in Austin, Texas. The exact address is: 5019 N Capital of Texas Hwy, Austin, TX 78746.

Is there parking available at the boat ramps?

There is parking available onsite, but it can quickly fill up on the weekends. We encourage all guests to utilize one of the many rideshare services available in the City. It’s a bout a 15-20 minute Uber ride from downtown.

Can we drink on board?

Yes! All tours are BYOB. We have built in coolers on board for your use, however, we cannot provide ice at this time. Please, no glass or styrofoam contains are permitted on Lake Austin per Texas law.


Can we get out and swim?

Yes, only private tours will have the opportunity to swim. 


Isn’t it hard to pedal?

Not at all! In fact, the light exercise helps make the experience. We have had groups of all 70+ seniors pedal just fine. If they can do it, so can you!!! Plus, we have a motor just in case.


What if it rains?

Paddle Pub operates rain or shine! If it’s going to rain, we recommend bringing rain jackets and/or ponchos. It’s still a lot of fun- think of it as an adventure. We only cancel tours if there are unsafe conditions, in which case you will receive a credit or refund.


Do we need our own cooler?

Nope! We have coolers built into the boat for your use. Though if you’d prefer to bring your own, we can fit approximately 3 full-sized coolers on board.

How much should we tip?

20% is customary, but whatever you feel is appropriate is greatly appreciated.


Can more than 16 people fit on the Paddle Pub?

Yes,  There are 26 available seats, including pedaling and non-pedaling ones. 

Are children allowed?

Children are permitted on private tours only.  Riders under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present. Children ages 13 and under must wear a life jacket at all times. All riders on public mixer tours must be 21+.

Is there a weight limit for riders?

Yes.  Unfortunately, due to the weight capacity of our vessel, customers over 300 pounds will not be able to ride the Paddle Pub.

I bought mixer tickets and got an email saying my trip hasn’t been accepted. What does that mean?

The minimum amount of people needed to run a mixer tour is 8 people. A mixer tour is not confirmed until 8 seats have been sold for that tour. As soon as that minimum has been met, you will receive a new email confirming your trip. If your chosen time still hasn’t met the minimum requirement 24 hours before your departure time, the trip will be cancelled and you will be refunded in full.

How do I reschedule/cancel my tour?

Send us an email with the date change request or give us a call before your scheduled tour and we will gladly reschedule you. All sales are final and non-refundable without trip insurance.

What’s trip insurance?

Paddle Pub now offers trip insurance, which will allow you to cancel your upcoming tour for any reason up to 24 hours before the tour for a full refund. All sales are final and non-refundable without trip insurance.

No Shows

Any group that is 30 minutes late to their start time without any communication are considered no shows. All no shows will be charged in full and do not qualify for refunds.

IMPORTANT RULES:
  • Groups that arrive intoxicated, belligerent, or are being uncooperative may be denied service resulting in the cancellation of your tour at the discretion of our staff. This is for the safety of your party and our staff. Groups that are denied service for these reasons will not be refunded.
  • No glass or styrofoam is allowed on board at any time. It’s the law.
  • Do not hang off of the canopy.
  • Do not lean your full weight on the side railings.
  • Do not stand on the benches.
  • If anyone ends up in the water without permission, the captain will perform a man-overboard procedure and your tour will end.
  • If anyone throws up from drunkenness, your tour will end.
  • Obey the captain’s instructions at all times. Failure to do so will result in the conclusion of your tour. Our captains have the final say in all manners of events.
  • Your party will be held financially responsible for all damages to Paddle Pub property that occur from noncompliance.
  • FAILURE TO OBEY THE RULES WILL RESULT IN THE IMMEDIATE TERMINATION OF YOUR TOUR.
