Area highlights:

Starting at our commercial boarding location directly across from the well known Burton Chace Park, you will leave our dock with the park on the right side of the Paddle Pub giving you an opportunity to view this beautiful waterfront park located in Marina del Rey Harbor.

Burton Chance Park

The park features a large grassy area, perfect for picnics or lounging in the sun, as well as a playground for children. There is also a large pier that extends out into the marina, offering great views of the boats and the ocean. The park is also home to the Marina del Rey Visitor Information Kiosk where you can get brochures and information about the area. It has a walking path, ample seating and picnic tables, and plenty of room for kids to play. It’s also a popular spot for fishing, birdwatching and enjoying the sunset.

Sea Lion Sighting

At the end of this basin and as you turn left into the main channel of the Marina Del Rey Harbor you will notice a large gathering of Sea Lions lounging on the large dock at the LMU Boathouse. Sea Lions, Seals, Pelicans, and countless sea birds abound, creating a memorable experience to last forever.

The Breakwall

Once in the main channel you will be heading towards the Pacific Ocean and the outside breakwall of the Harbor. With the Nantucket style Fisherman’s Village on your left, and endless docks full of beautiful vessels as far as the eye can see, you will be in the heart of the Marina del Rey Harbor, as seen on Television and in Feature films.

The Beach & Airport

At the end of the main channel you will see Venice Beach to your right, LAX to your left, countless Paddleboarders, Kayakers and a large variety of various size vessels entering and exiting the Harbor.

Yacht Clubs and Beautiful Hotels!

Coming back down the main channel you will pass the UCLA Boathouse before heading to the far north end of the Harbor. On your way you will go past the beautiful MDR Hotel on the Peninsula, see the well known Yacht Clubs within the Harbor, cruise past the Ritz Carlton and the storied Marina City Club with all its history.

Peddling and cruising the basins of The Marina del Rey Harbor will have your eyes wide open. With over 5,000 vessels, beautiful apartments, condominiums, restaurants, Hotels, boardwalks, sailing clubs and more, you will fill your memory bank with beautiful sights and valuable information.


What is the Paddle Pub?

It’s a 26-person pedal-powered pontoon boat, with a USCG Certified Master Captain and the ability to activate motor power from the helm. Paddle Pub Marina Del Rey, located in the Beautiful, World Famous Marina Del Rey Harbor is perfect for Bachelorette and Bachelor parties, Family Reunions, Birthday Celebrations, Milestone Anniversaries, Company Outings, Themed Nights Out- the possibilities are endless! A minimum of 6 pedalers is necessary to power the Paddle Pub. In addition to the Captain, you will have a First Mate Onboard as well as a restroom with running water.

What all is included in the price?

The price is 100% inclusive of all costs for the rental of the Paddle Pub for the two hours and includes the Captain as well as a First Mate as well as bottled water.

How much does a cycle boat tour cost?

A private tour has a flat rate of $1,350.00 + fees/tax for 14 passengers and each additional passenger to a max of 26 passengers are priced at $40.00 + fees/tax per passenger. Mixer tickets, where you buy individual seats, are $79.00 + fees/tax per person. Make sure you book your tour well in advance, as we are often sold out on popular time-slots months in advance!

Is there a bathroom onboard?

Yes, there is a very nice bathroom with running water.

Can we drink on board?

You may, but you have to follow all applicable laws, including over intoxication as well as boat rules. No glass (even if the glass stays in the ice chest). You may bring wine, beer, champagne, spiked cider beverages and the soft drinks of your choice. Absolutely no hard liquor will be allowed onboard! All beverages must be carried onboard in a covered pack, bag, small cooler, etc. without exposure to public view. No consumption is allowed in the parking area or any public area to and from the boarding. Bring your own small ice chest or ice. You may also bring snacks on board, and please be mindful to make them of the less messy kinds. Be prepared to remove everything you bring onboard at the end of your tour.There will be trash receptacles onboard for your convenience.

Can we get out and swim during the tour?

No swimming is allowed within the Marina Del Rey Harbor. Jumping off the boat is not allowed either and will cause your event to be terminated.

Isn’t it hard to pedal?

Water tends to be very flat, so it’s not difficult at all. In fact, light exercise helps make the experience. We have had groups of all 70+ seniors pedal just fine. If they can do it, you can do it!!! There is auxiliary motor power in the event your group chooses to not pedal at all times.

What if it rains?

Paddle Pub operates rain or shine! If it’s going to rain, we recommend bringing rain jackets and/or ponchos. It’s still a lot of fun- think of it as an adventure. We only cancel tours if there are unsafe conditions, in which case you will receive a credit. There is also a fully canopy roof covering the entire vessel should it rain that day.

How many coolers fit on board?

We can fit approximately 3 full-sized coolers on board. Do remember that we have built in coolers near the pedal stations so please bring ice.

Can more than 26 people fit on the Paddle Pub?

No! This is a Coast Guard Inspected Vessel for 26 passengers, + crew, and seating for all 26 passengers between peddle stations and bench seating is available.

Are people under the age of 21 allowed on board?

Yes, but they will receive an “X” on each hand and cannot drink alcohol while on board. Riders under the age of 18 must have a liability waiver signed by their parent or guardian.

Is there a weight limit for riders?

Yes. Due to the configuration of the vessel, the maximum weight allowed per passenger is 300 lbs.

How do I reschedule/cancel my tour?

It’s easy! Simply respond to your confirmation email with the date change request. Please ensure that you are within the reschedule/cancellation time frame outlined in your confirmation email.
