Paddle Pub Huntington

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before you board in Huntington.

What is Paddle Pub and what is included in the price?

We create unique outdoor memorable experiences that often become tradition! Get together with friends and family, birthday celebrations, bachelor/bachelorette parties, team builders, company outings, date nights, retirement parties, themed nights out – the possibilities are endless! The price includes a two hour rental, and the Paddle Pub Experience. You’ll meet your US Coast Guard Licensed Captain, and your party host who will do everything in their power to ensure your party has the time of their lives! Feel free to save a few bucks and bring your own beverages. We’ll have coolers filled with ice to keep your drinks cold, and a clean restroom aboard for when the drinks pile up! There are 12 pedaling stations that power the huge paddle wheel in the back of the boat which we will use to make our way into the bay. Your host will get some music and party games going if you’d like! We might even have some little surprises along the way! We also have a front lounge/dancing area, a bumping sound system to sync up your tunes, and some party lights should you Paddle Pub at night! It will be a memory or in some cases a partial memory, but either way, your host will be sure to snap some great pics to last a lifetime!!!

Do we have to Pedal?

Pedaling is not required and it represents a small part of the Paddle Pub experience! We have a lounge/dance area in addition to the pedal bar area. The Pedaling spots are there for leisurely fun and it’s pretty neat to move the boat all together! We keep it light and fun and it’s entirely your choice.

HOW DO I BOOK A CRUISE?

Our most updated availability can be seen by clicking Book Now or calling (631) 778 1433. We suggest calling as sometimes our online availability can sometimes take time to update. Sometimes we can offer custom times not seen online as well! Online booking closes a few hours before your time and always feel free to give us a call or shoot us a text with same-day requests.

Where do we board the Paddle Pub?

Boarding locations vary by location. We’ll send whomever reserved the event pick-up info via text and email a few days before your event which can easily be forwarded to the party. While we usually board at the same spot, unforeseen circumstances may require an alternative nearby. We prioritize minimizing confusion and maximizing fun!

When should my group arrive?

We recommend arriving 10 minutes prior to departure. Arriving earlier can leave you waiting in the sun, as we are unable to board guests until our internal procedures are complete. Arriving 10 minutes before departure allows us to check you in smoothly and get you on board comfortably.

How many guests can/should we bring?

Any group size works! We can accommodate as few as 2 and up to 26 guests. We offer both public and private options to ensure reasonable price points for different party sizes. Please note, we require a minimum of 8 guests total to set sail.

How Long is the Cruise?

Including check-in, boarding, and deboarding, please budget 2 hours. Depending on when you reserve, we can sometimes extend the cruise. While 2 hours is our most popular option, please us if you’re interested in extending or select extra time @ checkout.

What if we want to stay out longer?

Weather permitting, you can discuss further extending your trip while underway with your Captain. We can charge the card on file used to make the original reservation.

Are guests under the age of 21 allowed onboard?

Yes, but you must reserve a private boat. All minors under the age of 21 will receive wristbands for each hand that they must wear during the entire duration of the trip and cannot consume any alcoholic beverages while onboard. If there are any passengers under the age of 21, there must be at least one parent or guardian over the age of 25 for every 4 minors onboard. The minimum age to ride the Paddle Pub is 10. If any minors attempt drinking aboard the Paddle Pub, the Paddle Pub experience will be ended immediately with no refund and no future credit given.

Is there a bathroom onboard the Paddle Pub?

Yes, there is a bathroom and yes, it’s clean!

Is there a weight limit?

No, there is no weight limit. However, due to the nature of the cycling stations on the vessel, passengers over 275 pounds will not be permitted on the pedaling stations. All passengers are welcome to enjoy the various lounge areas onboard.

Dress code? What should I wear?

Think comfortable! We’re sure you look great in that sports blazer or high heels, but this isn’t the trip for those.

Who drives the boat?

We always have a USCG licensed captain and mate on board to show you a fun & safe time out on the waterway

Can I smoke on board?

Smoking cigarettes is against our policy, but anything electronic is allowed on private tours. If it requires a lighter, it’s a no-go.

Can I play my own music? Are there speakers?

The sound system is Bluetooth so bring your favorite playlists.

What if it rains?

Paddle Pub operates rain or shine! If it is going to rain, we recommend bringing rain jackets and/or ponchos. It’s quite the adventure with our rain playlist ready to go! Captains only cancel tours if there are unsafe conditions, like high speed winds, thunder, or lightning at the time or close to departure, in which case you will receive a full store credit to be used on a future date. Credits can also be converted into gift cards as well.

How do I reschedule/cancel my tour?

It’s easy! Simply respond to your confirmation email with the date change request. Please ensure that you are outside the 7 day reschedule/cancellation time frame outlined in your confirmation email to receive your full credit for a future date.

Can we eat onboard the Paddle Pub?

Yes, you can! Food is allowed onboard the Paddle Pub.

4 Paddle Pub Pro Tips

  1. Get to the dock about fifteen minutes before your cruise — boarding a full boat takes a few minutes, and it keeps your time on the water for the water.

  2. Have everyone sign their waiver before you set off, so your group walks straight on instead of filling forms in at the dock.

  3. Bring a layer you can throw on. It runs cooler out on the water than it does on shore, and breezier once the sun starts dropping.

  4. Wear flat, non-slip shoes for boarding, and don't skip the sunscreen — out there the sun comes off the water as well as down from the sky.
